TELUS has introduced SPARK services, which promise information as well as entertainment, with the new Samsung R500 mobile phone. The stylish mobile phone comes with exchangeable red and blue faceplates, a feature that allows consumers to customize their phone according to their own unique personalities.

The SPARK services that form a part of the package include attractive features, such as TELUS Mobile Music, TELUS Mobile Radio, Web browsing, Windows Live Messenger, text and picture messages, games, videos, ringtones, and images.

Canadians no longer have to rush to the record store in order to gain access to their favorite music. TELUS Mobile Music has a digital coverage that reaches 94 percent of the Canadians. It is available both on a pay-per-use basis and also on a monthly subscription. TELUS Mobile Music offers unlimited, instant download of the choicest music of any genre. TELUS Mobile Radio gives access to programs broadcast on 20XM Canada satellite radio stations.

The phone also offers other user friendly features, such as 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and a memory of 2GB enabling storage of more than 2,000 songs. The Bluetooth feature can be used to transfer files that are not protected by copyright. It can also be used with other compatible accessories.

The mobile phone can be purchased at any TELUS location in Canada, either on a three-year contract for as low as $49.99 or for $249.99 without a contract. The additional feature of exchangeable faceplates should be purchased separately.
